Simulated history of skydiving
The first skydiving simulator was developed and actually used for that purpose immediately. In 1964, engineers and scientists have built a vertical wind tunnel at Wright Patterson and, finally, the structurewas used for the training of Army Corps Parachute Team.
Flyaway Indoor Skydiving is credited with providing a facility for simulating skydiving in Las Vegas (1982). This company has opened a site in vertical wind tunnel in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee as well. Both simulators have provided significant skydiving fun and excitement of thousands and thousands of visitors.
How it works
The basic idea of a vertical wind tunnel that is used to simulate skydiving issimple. Fan of generating winds of up to 120 miles per hour upwards through a well-sealed tunnel. Individuals wearing the standard combination, goggles and helmet and then enter the center of this tunnel. The wind pushes the person and allows the individual to get the feeling of flying.
